Ever since their downtown engagement session, I’ve been looking forward to getting these two back in front of my camera. Carrie and Nick are full of joy, and their happiness and joyfulness is the best kind of contagious. As I drove up the driveway towards the gorgeous barn at Heritage Acres in Clarksville, AR for their wedding day, I just knew that today was going to be special.
Their teary vows were full of expressions of their deep love for one another and their promises for forever. They promised to love, support, and care for one other forever in front of the beautiful Heritage Acres mountain view. Their husband and wife portraits have a golden glow to them because they were taken right after at sunset.
There were so many parts of the day that left me emotional, but what really got me was Carrie’s first look with her dad. I’ll never forget the way he looked at her as he turned around and saw his little girl as a bride. He gently ran his fingers through one of her red curls as he looked at the woman she had become. It’s moment like these that remind me of my own two girls and how one day it will be their wedding day.
Carrie and Nick, I can’t thank you enough for being such a joy to get to know and serve on one of the happiest days of your lives! It was such an honor! I will sincerely miss Carrie’s messages about wedding details, dress pictures, and EXCITEMENT about marrying Nick. Enjoy re-living your day while you gaze out over the snowy Rocky Mountains!
