Amanda and Gabe’s wedding at the Propak Building in Fort Smith, AR was in the middle of winter, but we were blessed with sunshine and a moderate temperature! They are definitely everything that I wish for in my couples – full of joy, laughter, down to earth, and with big hearts for the people in their lives!
Every year they like to plan a friend-cation with all of their closest friends. In 2018, they took a trip to Seattle, WA. Little did Amanda know that Gabe had also planned this trip with the intention of proposing. Unfortunately, every place they went to was either a missed opportunity or “not the right time.” They picked a day towards the end of the trip to visit a few parks and hike. That day, they set off with their friends and eventually made it to Discovery Park. It is a very beautiful, picturesque park located in the Magnolia neighborhood of Seattle, with a treasure trove of greenery. They decided to hike down to a quaint little lighthouse by the shore. They spent their time taking in the scenery, collecting rocks and tossing them into water, and enjoying the wind hitting their faces.
Then, one of Amanda’s sisters suggested they take a picture of the them together. They found a spot to take the picture, but what Amanda didn’t realize was that as she was walking down to the shoreline, her sisters weren’t following behind. While Amanda was walking towards the shore, she thought about how she didn’t want this vacation to end and how glad she was to be able to take trips like this with all the people she holds dear in her heart. As Amanda turned around, expecting to see her two sisters, she instead was met with Gabe getting on down on one knee. I love that their story was so unique to them and they were surrounded by their closest friends!
We were so lucky to have a beautiful summer engagement session downtown! We even captured part of their session in front of their Fort Smith AR wedding venue! Make sure you also check out their session here!
Amanda and Gabe, no one deserves this perfect day more than the two of you. I am so beyond happy that I got to be there to witness the beginning of your next big adventure! Thank you a million times over for being so incredible. I hope this new adventure together gets better each and every day. Your joy is contagious and I absolutely loved being surrounded by it on your wedding day. Cheers to many more decades of love and happiness! xoxo, Kim
