My name is Kim, and I have been a photographer for joyful couples since 2009! I bought my first camera literally the week after getting back from our amazing Jamaican honeymoon, photographed my first wedding two months after that, and have been obsessed ever since. I have been featured in magazines like Weddings in Arkansas and Arkansas Bride, as well as numerous online wedding blogs.
When I'm not photographing amazing couples, I am usually found either with my girls having a Disney dance party in the kitchen, doing yet another DIY home project, or buying something else pink... it's quite embarrassing how many pink tennis shoes I own!
Blaine and I are so lucky to have found each other young. As high school sweethearts, we started with the awkward phase of bad highlights and velour tracksuits and have gotten to witness how far each of us has come. We were married in the spring of 2009 in a little baptist church in the country.
Macklyn is 8 and is outgoing and full of life. She's never met a stranger. Willow is 6 and is the complete opposite of her sister. She is as quiet as can be around strangers, but is full of energy and excitement at home.
Blaine and I love traveling, and especially love ski trips. My favorite place so far is New Zealand... nothing beats the rolling green hills, gorgeous black sand beaches, and skiing on an active volcano. Another favorite is Whistler, Canada - authentic maple donuts, anyone? Top bucket list destinations: Scotland, Iceland, Norway, and Ireland!
Chocolate, ice cream sundaes, cookies, pie. I really don't care what it is, as long as it has a very unhealthy amount of sugar.
Mommin' ain't easy and it requires coffee. Lots of it, and preferably in a cute coffee mug. Ironically, I drink my coffee with no sweetener even though I have a huge sweet tooth!
Nothing makes me happier than working with couples who like to have fun together and don't take themselves too seriously!
Anyone else run to Target for toilet paper and come out $200 lighter? I don't know what it is about that red bullseye that makes me want to redecorate my whole house... but I love it.
Peonies are my favorite flower. My mom has a garden full of fluffy pink peonies, and I love everything about them!
There's nothing better than playing outside with my girls and watching a gorgeous Oklahoma sunset, complete with crickets and a warm breeze.
You can usually find me in a pair of leggings or a maxi dress. Ahhhh... give me all the comfort and full range of motion.
you'll hear from me shortly.
