Tanner proposed to Kaity as she was about to try on wedding dresses. He bent down on one knee with the ring and said, “Don’t you think you should wear one of these before you try on dresses?” And Kaity tried on dresses as a newly engaged bride. Their engagement has been a whirlwind of activity as they plan their wedding day just two months from the proposal.

I traveled to Colorado to Araphahoe Basin Ski Resort to photograph their snowy, mountaintop engagement session. The weather was absolutely perfect and the fresh snow on the mountains was the perfect backdrop for their photos. Here is a preview of a couple of my favorites. These were taken at a small forested area on the side of the road. A gorgeous open field surrounded by soft light being filtered by the surrounding woods. As we were driving down the mountain towards Keystone Ski Resort, I saw this area and just knew we had to make a detour.
