Normally when you attend a wedding, you are witnessing the couple getting married. Well, for Ansley and Connor this was actually their second wedding! As with so many other couples, they decided to reschedule their wedding because of COVID. However, they decided to go ahead and get married anyway on their original Legacy Acres wedding date with their families. And really, who doesn’t want to wear their wedding gown for a second time anyway??
Ansley and Connor’s (second 😉 ) Legacy Acres wedding in Conway, AR was in July. Normally July in Arkansas means hot, hot, and more hot weather. But on this particular day, we were blessed with a rainy early afternoon which is a good thing because after the storm passed we were left with much cooler than normal temperatures! Their wedding day was full of color – lots of yellow and pink! The florals from Vase and Vine were phenomenal. I always love their floral design, and this wedding was no different.
Ansley and Connor actually graduated high school together. They knew of one another but they never ran in the same circles. Fast forward to the summer before senior year in college, Ansley was hanging out with one of her good friends who had taken some college classes with Connor and became friends. She sent him a Snapchat of Ansley and he made a very nice comment! 😉 She ended up giving him her Snapchat and they talked for a couple of weeks. Finally, they hung out a couple weeks later and when he dropped her off after their movie, they stayed in his car and talked until 3:00 AM! Ansley immediately noticed how easy it was to talk to him. Even after one date, they felt like old friends.
A couple years later, they planned a trip to Disney World (Ansley’s favorite place on Earth!) with his family. On the third night of their trip, Connor proposed at Bay Lake Tower on the roof of the Contemporary Resort right before the fireworks started at Magic Kingdom. Ansley had absolutely no idea it was happening! The super special part of this proposal story is that her parents flew in for it and surprised her there, too!
Ansley and Connor, no one deserves this perfect day more than the two of you. There were so many uncertainties and obstacles with the wedding planning, but it really was such a perfect day despite all those obstacles! God bless you both and congratulations on this new chapter in your lives! It was a privilege and pleasure to get to document your wedding. I am so grateful for the trust you placed in me, and I am so excited to share some of my favorite moments with you. XOXO, Kim
